Dr Elsa du Toit — Perinatal Psychiatrist

A psychiatrist who works specifically with women before, during and after pregnancy — antenatal anxiety, postnatal depression, and everything in the murky in-between that so often gets waved off as “just hormones”. She qualified as a psychiatrist in 2010 and did her PhD in this field, and ran a dedicated women’s mental health clinic for five years. She has spent more than fifteen years working exclusively in perinatal psychiatry, in both state and private practice. She consults from Panorama Healthcare Psychiatry, whose rooms are open Mon–Thu 8–4pm and Fri 8–12pm.
