What Mom's Directory is
Mom's Directory is a curated directory of recommendations for moms in Cape Town — from healthcare providers and activities to venues and mom-run businesses. Listings are compiled in good faith, based on personal research and recommendations from local moms.
What we are not
Mom's Directory is an information resource, not a professional advisory service. In particular:
- We do not provide medical advice. Listings in our Health & Wellbeing and Emergency categories are there to help you find practitioners and services — they are not medical recommendations, diagnoses, or guarantees of care. Always use your own judgement when choosing a healthcare provider, and contact emergency services directly in an emergency.
- A listing is not a professional endorsement. It means the business was researched and/or recommended by moms in our community. We cannot guarantee any business's service, safety, pricing, availability, qualifications, or outcomes.
- We are not a party to your dealings with listed businesses. Any booking, purchase, or engagement you enter into with a listed business is between you and that business. Please do your own checks — especially for services involving your children — and resolve any disputes directly with the business concerned.
Accuracy of information
We work hard to keep listings accurate and up to date, but details change — prices, addresses, hours, staff, and services. We can't guarantee that every detail is current or error-free. If you spot something outdated or incorrect, please let us know at themomsdirectory@gmail.com and we'll fix it as soon as we can.
The MOM-VOUCHED badge
The MOM-VOUCHED badge indicates that real moms in the community have personally used and vouched for a listing. It reflects a genuine recommendation, not a certification, inspection, or guarantee. The badge cannot be purchased. See our For businesses page for how featured placements work — and how they differ from recommendations.
For businesses
- Standard listings are compiled by us and are free. Inclusion is at our discretion, and we may edit listing descriptions for clarity, accuracy, and tone.
- If your business is listed and you would like your details corrected, updated, or removed, email us at themomsdirectory@gmail.com and we'll action it promptly.
- Business names and factual details are published on the basis of publicly available information and community recommendations. We only use logos and photographs supplied by the business or used with permission.
Intellectual property
The content of this website — including listing descriptions, the Mom's Directory name and logo, and the MOM-VOUCHED badge — belongs to Mom's Directory and may not be copied or reused for commercial purposes without permission. Business names, logos, and photos remain the property of their respective owners.

Listings may link to third-party websites, social media pages, and booking platforms. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of external sites.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Mom's Directory and its owner will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or your engagement with any listed business. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
