Five million years back in time, 90 minutes north of Cape Town. A National Heritage Site with an interactive museum and guided tours of the actual dig site, where sabre-toothed cats, short-necked giraffes and ancient elephants have been unearthed. Restaurant with a kiddies menu and very good milkshakes, small jungle gym, walking and cycling trails, gift shop supporting local projects.
