A relaxed country village under the oaks at the foot of Chapman's Peak. There's a big green lawn for running, biking and ball games, and a playground next to Café Roux, which has a walled-off, child-friendly corner and a kids' menu. Café Roux's cinnamon pancakes are a hit with kids, and Kristen's Kick Ass Ice Cream does baby scoops. There are more places to eat too — The Foodbarn, The Toad, sushi — plus little shops for mom. The Wednesday evening market runs 4–8pm on the lawn, weather permitting, with the shops staying open until 8pm.
