The seasonal picnic lawns overlook the Atlantic, mountains and vineyards, with a children's picnic basket for R185 and adult baskets from R390. The free Thurs evening summer market adds food stalls, live music, broad lawns and a jungle gym. Picnics run daily 12–4pm in season; the market runs Thurs 4:30–8:30pm from Oct–Apr.
Picnic lawns and market are closed in winter and reopen in October. No pets or outside food at the market. The Wine & Climb hike on the last Sunday of the month is free for under-18s, but it climbs 120m, so leave the pram behind.
