Nippers at Big Bay, with Micro Nippers for ages 5–7 and Nippers for ages 8–14, training on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings. The club describes the course as fun but challenging, and as the first step towards qualifying as a Big Bay lifeguard. Lifeguard patrols on the beach run from the first weekend in November until after Easter.
